The anticipation was high for two lines that had a collectors’ series end in 2007 - Thomas Blackshear’s “The Blackshear Circle” and the Swarovski Crystal Society, and neither has disappointed. Click the links below for more information on each.
“The Blackshear Circle” introduces their new series, The Nativity, in 2008 with ‘The Holy Family’ figurine and ‘Baby Jesus’ ornament (both members-only pieces). This is another four-year series for Mr Blackshear and Company and will surely be a collection to treasure.
The “Swarovski Crystal Society” begins their new Endangered Wildlife trilogy this year also. ‘The Pandas’ is a stunning example of the craftsmanship of the artists and artisans in the Swarovski ‘family’.
Staying with Swarovski, we have added a page of their new Valentine’s Day 2008 Collection. We should start receiving the merchandise within a week or so, and it doesn’t last long…get your orders in early to ensure that our reorders can arrive and we can relay them to you in a timely fashion.
On a side note, there is a rumor circulating regarding a major concert at Boardwalk Hall on - or about - July 4th. It has not been confirmed by the band’s offices as yet, so I won’t speak out of turn, but as soon as it is verified, I’ll post it. This matters more to me than almost everyone I know, but they have a hardcore fanbase that will pack the Hall, I’m sure.
That’s about it for now, but there will be more as new releases are announced. Stop in if you come to town…

Categories: Announcements, 233 wordsSend feedback •Things sure have changed since Joe first opened La Maison Capri on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in 1976. Thirty-one years ago, if you had told anyone that there would be a desktop (and now even handheld) device with which you communicate with anybody, anywhere, chances are you would have been looked at like you were nuts. Now, however, it seems that we would be lost without them. The personal computer has truly changed the world and the way we look at it.
The Information Superhighway is well-travelled, whether it be for news, keeping in touch with friends and family, watching sports, movies or even television shows and, yes, even shopping. You can find anything you might be looking for with a simple online search. The one thing missing while shopping online is the interpersonal relationship between buyer and seller.
Thus our blog. This is our way to keep in touch and keep you informed of what is going on with your favorite collectibles and other items of interest. We would much rather tell you in person (and we will when you stop in and see us), but please check back often, as we will be updating the blog on a regular basis. That is the plan, at least.
Until then, we want to wish everyone the warmest of holiday seasons and that the coming New Year brings nothing but the best to all.
